New Product Testing
Hi there, I have been very busy recently trying out new ideas and still have loads more things I would like to try. As an avid crafter I have lots of things that just never got used once I decided to concentrate on baking. During a conversation with my lovely mum we thought it would be a good idea to use our rubber stamps for sugarpaste. I am absolutely delighted with the results and have since been rummaging through my collections to find out all the unused stamps that we had. Needless to say I have more and more ideas and not enough time in the day.

Iron Cupcake Leeds Competition
This weekend I entered a Cupcake competition at www.ironcupcakeleeds.co.uk which is run by Zoe. I have only been to this event once before and it was some time ago. So imagine my surprise when Zoe not only remembered who I was but, my name and what I was wearing. There's dedication for you. It was a fab fun evening and I made some new friends who we all now follow on Twitter. There were 10 cupcake entries and the theme was 'very berry' and if you can imagine a lot more cupcake tasters! I was the only one (I think) who had entered a chocolate interpretation of what 'very berry' meant to me. Still it was nice to stand out and the feedback from the involuntary hmmmmmm when people tried my cake was more than enough.
So I won third prize which was a lovely china mug with a cupcake on it. It is now my cup of choice and in fact my Trophy. Next month is a 'Cocktail' theme which I have already had the pleasure of trying out with a cocktail box but, I think I will prefect my JaegerBom Cupcakes and nter that.
Very busy for the rest of this month with some special treats for people so will have lots to add to my portfolio. Have a great day everyone x

New Baby Surprise cake
While browsing the internet I came across this brilliant idea.. created by Betties Cakes who can be found on facebook. I really enjoyed looking round Betties Website and absolutely love the retro double decker bus they have. I love the retro theme and outfits they wear. Another take on how to present cupcakes. I have an order today for someones Grandad who will be 91. The theme is gardening and I have done two rose cupcakes for the box which will sit alongside an Oreo sunflower cake.

Decorated biscuits
Today I am going to try my hand at decorated cookies. I have some lovely cutter sets that would make perfect gifts. I'm going to involve my two boys as I think they would enjoy helping to decorate. I am inspired by so many cookies out there but, love Biscuiteers and their box gift sets. This is what I am going to work towards creating.
I love the personalised tin and will use my WrapCandy software to help 'hug' my gift box.

New designs
I was working on a large cupcake order and fancied piping lots of roses on to it, I think it came out lovely and decided to try the same design on one of the smaller cupcakes, topped of with and edible butterfly they came out quite beautiful. I have also been working on a cupcake packaging idea, I haven't quite managed to get them large enough. So far only favour sized boxes. Still I am pleased with the results. These little handbags would make great wedding favour boxes or hen party bags.
Being handmade they can be in any colour scheme we like and I like that a lot.

How I love a new piping nozzle
I thought I would try some cupcakes with butterflies on today and am really pleased with how the piping in two tone has come out. The butterfly is printed on to edible paper and then cut out. I stuck it to the frosting using a small ball of marzipan.
Corporate Networking Event and Cupcake Demonstration
Only momentarily stopped to think about the pressure... I needn't have worried about being able to demonstrate or talk about Cupcakes. The event went like a dream. All the ladies thoroughly enjoyed themselves and happily joined in with the activities. I was highly impressed with the results of each ladies Cupcakes and the feedback I received put a huge smile on my face... Many thanks to Redmayne and Bently Stockbrokers for using BootiDelicious Bakery.

Absolutely Brilliant Idea me thinks!
Stuffed crust pasty! The pasty shop has launched what it claims to be the worlds first ever stuffed crust pasty as part of its new range of three italian inspired pasties. The spicy meatball pasty is served with a cheese stuffed crust, alongside the meat feast calzone and three cheese pastries. They retail at £3.49 and I will definitly be checking them out.

Birthdays
It's my mums 60th birthday at the end of this month so I have to make her something truly extra special. Today as I don't have any baking to do I am going to make her a card. Thing about my family and my cards is that they are expected to come with a personalised poem... this is going to take some effort. I'll post what I came up with later x
Jaeger Bombe Bun
Fantastic new edition to BootiDelicious Product range. The red Bull in the Cupcake makes the sponge light and fluffy. This has been filled with Jaeger custard and topped with Jaeger swirled buttercream. I made little Chocolate shot pots to fill with scrummy Jaegermeister. A success I think x

Greatest Breakfast Ever!
This weekend I was introduced to a breakfast of 'omelette Sandwich' a novel idea and after searching for the perfect receptacle to cook this in, the breakfast was made. Using large white bread cakes and a babies plastic bowl about 4 inches wide.
2 eggs
a splash of milk
Mushrooms
Peppers
and chorizo
were put in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Perfect fluffy omelettes topped with a slice of cheese.

Handmade Super Mario Cupcake Toppers
Perfect for any birthday celebration, these toppers were all individually handmade and I had great fun making them. THe frosting was piped in a complimentary colour and the birthday boy thoroughly enjoyed them.

My very first Blog...
I wonder if jotting down what my thoughts and findings for the day will help me to organise myself or if it will just come across as one jumbled up jabber fest? Today I took my Tiramisu cupcakes down to the local hairdressers. When I say hairdressers... what I stumbled upon was actually a very successful and accomplished salon run by what I would say must be a strong minded and business savvy lady.. Still the girls in the salon were only too happy to accept some samples and I will go back down there to see what they thought. Who knew that hairdressers had such a sweet tooth...
