This weekend I entered a Cupcake competition at www.ironcupcakeleeds.co.uk which is run by Zoe. I have only been to this event once before and it was some time ago. So imagine my surprise when Zoe not only remembered who I was but, my name and what I was wearing. There's dedication for you. It was a fab fun evening and I made some new friends who we all now follow on Twitter. There were 10 cupcake entries and the theme was 'very berry' and if you can imagine a lot more cupcake tasters! I was the only one (I think) who had entered a chocolate interpretation of what 'very berry' meant to me. Still it was nice to stand out and the feedback from the involuntary hmmmmmm when people tried my cake was more than enough.
So I won third prize which was a lovely china mug with a cupcake on it. It is now my cup of choice and in fact my Trophy. Next month is a 'Cocktail' theme which I have already had the pleasure of trying out with a cocktail box but, I think I will prefect my JaegerBom Cupcakes and nter that.
Very busy for the rest of this month with some special treats for people so will have lots to add to my portfolio. Have a great day everyone x

New Baby Surprise cake
While browsing the internet I came across this brilliant idea.. created by Betties Cakes who can be found on facebook. I really enjoyed looking round Betties Website and absolutely love the retro double decker bus they have. I love the retro theme and outfits they wear. Another take on how to present cupcakes. I have an order today for someones Grandad who will be 91. The theme is gardening and I have done two rose cupcakes for the box which will sit alongside an Oreo sunflower cake.

Decorated biscuits
Today I am going to try my hand at decorated cookies. I have some lovely cutter sets that would make perfect gifts. I'm going to involve my two boys as I think they would enjoy helping to decorate. I am inspired by so many cookies out there but, love Biscuiteers and their box gift sets. This is what I am going to work towards creating.
I love the personalised tin and will use my WrapCandy software to help 'hug' my gift box.

New designs
I was working on a large cupcake order and fancied piping lots of roses on to it, I think it came out lovely and decided to try the same design on one of the smaller cupcakes, topped of with and edible butterfly they came out quite beautiful. I have also been working on a cupcake packaging idea, I haven't quite managed to get them large enough. So far only favour sized boxes. Still I am pleased with the results. These little handbags would make great wedding favour boxes or hen party bags.
Being handmade they can be in any colour scheme we like and I like that a lot.
